| Anyone wishing to have and article in the next State Newsletter has to have there articles in by August 1, 2010. If you are sending pictures, please be sure that they are saved as jpeg files. We are getting some pictures for people that have the pictures saved as files we can't open. If you are using some type of camera software or other photo editing software, be sure that you save the finished product as a jpeg file. This will help insure that your pictures get in the bulletin. Also remember that the bulletin is now being posted on the website as a pdf document, which takes a little longer to open, but is a much better product for viewing. |

| Elk of the year |
| At the recent annual convention in Nashville the TEA Elk of the Year Award winner was announced. This year's award recipient was Past State President Bob Crattie. Unfortunately Bob passed away two days before the awards banquet so the award was posthumus. Bob was a great Tennessee Elk and was certainly deserving of the award. We regret that he will never know he received the award. One more example that we should never hesitate to do good deeds or speak kind words while we have the chance. |

| The VP report is now on the website in the Secretary page. All Secretaries should have the VP report ready on the night of the VP visit. You can fill out the one on the website and print or save to your computer. Then all that will be necessary is for the VP to make his or her comments manually and everyone sign. Hopefully this will cut down on some doubling up of paperwork. Secretaries should try to take advantage of the forms that are being posted. Could make your job easier in the future. |
